Last Updated: August 2026

1. Acceptance

This Helper Agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between Helpzy ("Helpzy," "we," "our," or "us") and the individual applying to provide cleaning services through the Helpzy Platform ("Helper").

By creating a Helper account, submitting an application, accepting a booking, or providing services through the Platform, you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement.

2. Independent Contractor Status

Helpers are independent contractors.

Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, agency, partnership, franchise, or joint venture relationship between Helpzy and the Helper.

Helpers are solely responsible for:

  • their own taxes;
  • insurance;
  • licenses;
  • permits;
  • business expenses;
  • equipment;
  • transportation.

Helpers are free to provide services through other platforms or directly to other clients.

3. Eligibility

To become a Helper you must:

  • be at least 18 years old;
  • legally eligible to work where services are provided;
  • provide truthful information;
  • complete the onboarding process;
  • provide requested documentation;
  • maintain accurate contact information.

Helpzy may reject any application at its sole discretion.

4. Background Verification

Helpzy may request:

  • government-issued identification;

  • work authorization;
  • background verification;
  • photographs;
  • additional documentation.

Failure to provide requested documentation may result in rejection or suspension.

5. Service Areas

Helpers may only accept bookings within areas approved by Helpzy.

Service areas may be expanded, reduced, or modified at any time.

6. Accepting Bookings

Helpers are never required to accept every booking.

However, once a booking has been accepted, the Helper agrees to perform the service unless prevented by extraordinary circumstances.

Repeated cancellations may result in reduced visibility, suspension, or permanent removal.

7. Arrival

Helpers agree to:

  • arrive on time;
  • notify the customer of delays;
  • communicate through the Platform whenever possible.

Repeated lateness may affect account status.

8. Quality Standards

Helpers agree to perform services:

  • professionally;
  • safely;
  • respectfully;
  • using reasonable care;
  • according to the booking details.

Customers may submit ratings after each service.

Poor performance, repeated complaints, or failure to meet Platform standards may result in corrective action.

  • treat customers respectfully;
  • respect customer privacy;
  • avoid offensive language;
  • avoid discrimination;
  • avoid harassment;

Professionalism is required at all times.

10. Customer Property

Helpers agree to exercise reasonable care while working inside a customer's property.

Helpers shall not:

  • open closed drawers without necessity;
  • access restricted rooms;
  • use customer property without permission;
  • consume customer food or beverages unless authorized.

11. Keys, Entry Codes and Access

Customers may provide:

  • keys;
  • lockbox codes;
  • garage codes;
  • smart lock access.

Helpers agree:

  • not to share access information;
  • not to duplicate keys;
  • not to retain access credentials after completion of the service.

12. Photos

When required by Helpzy, Helpers must upload photographs documenting completed services.

Photos must:

  • accurately represent the work performed;
  • avoid unnecessary personal information;
  • not be altered or manipulated.

Uploading false photographs constitutes fraud.

13. Equipment and Supplies

Unless otherwise indicated during booking, Helpers are responsible for bringing the equipment and supplies necessary to perform the service. Where the Customer requests use of products available at the property, the Helper may use them provided they are reasonably safe.

14. Payments

Helpzy processes customer payments. Helpers will receive payouts according to Helpzy's payout schedule. Helpzy may temporarily delay payouts when necessary to investigate:

  • fraud;
  • chargebacks;
  • disputes;
  • suspicious activity;
  • incomplete services.

15. Tips

Customers may voluntarily provide gratuities after completion of a booking. Helpzy may deduct any platform commission applicable to gratuities before releasing payment.

16. Taxes

Helpers are solely responsible for:

  • federal taxes;
  • state taxes;
  • local taxes;
  • self-employment taxes;
  • business registrations.

Helpzy does not withhold payroll taxes.

17. Insurance

Helpers may become aware of confidential customer information. Helpers agree not to disclose:

  • addresses;
  • alarm codes;
  • customer routines;
  • personal information;

This obligation survives termination.

Helpers may not encourage customers to bypass the Platform in order to avoid Helpzy's fees.

Examples include:

  • exchanging personal payment information before completion of a booking;
  • offering private arrangements initiated through Helpzy;

Violation may result in immediate termination.

Fraud includes, but is not limited to:

  • fake bookings;
  • false photographs;
  • false completion reports;
  • identity fraud;
  • payment fraud;

  • creating duplicate accounts.

Fraud results in immediate removal and may be reported to authorities.

21. Suspension

Helpzy may suspend a Helper account for:

  • repeated cancellations;
  • repeated lateness;
  • poor ratings;
  • customer complaints;
  • fraud investigations;
  • safety concerns;
  • policy violations.

22. Termination

Helpzy may permanently terminate any Helper account for serious or repeated violations.

Termination does not affect obligations arising before termination.

23. Limitation of Liability

Helpzy is a technology platform.

Helpzy is not responsible for:

  • business losses;
  • missed earnings;
  • customer decisions;
  • scheduling availability;
  • acts of third parties;
